We’re Not “Normal”… and Proud of It!
Church! The very mention of the word sends a negative ‘vibe’ to many people today. They see it as an organization that is out of touch, irrelevant, and filled with people whom they view as “hypocrites, weird, or persons they would just as soon not be identified with!
At Connection Point Church, our goal is to “Change the Way People Think About Church!” We are not your average church … and we’re proud of it! We’re just a group of people, like you, who are in process together, attempting to discover life as God intended it. We’re not perfect, we make mistakes, but we are committed to being a place where all are free to come as they are, to ask questions, to express doubts and fears without being judged or condemned, and to seek the Savior in a way that will be relevant and meaningful to their particular situation in life. And those stereotypes that are oftentimes connected to “church” in general? … You won’t find them here.
Dress is casual and relaxed – come as you are (even the pastor preaches in jeans oftentimes). There is a coffee bar in the foyer. We encourage people to come early and enjoy a cappuccino, latte, hot chocolate, flavored teas, or just a plain old cup of coffee while they connect with other people. You can bring drinks into the auditorium. Or food. Whatever makes you feel comfortable. We just want you and your family to feel at home from the first visit.
No traditional organ music or choirs. Our worship is vibrant, energetic and alive with guitars, bass guitar, drums, multi-media, etc.
Oh – and here's our favorite. We don't do politics. There's no ladder to climb here. You don't have to get into the "in" circle in order to serve or get involved. Nobody gets special treatment because of who they are or what they do. We walk through struggles together ... share victories together ... serve together. What you will find here is a friendly, outgoing and accepting environment that strives to engage people where they are at and to do ministry Jesus style! At Connection Point Church, we are attempting to redefine “church” in a way that resembles the way Jesus did things ... as we strive to apply God’s Word, the Bible, to everyday life, situations and circumstances.
